Yesterday my 4 year old daughter, Nadiah, sang "happy birthday to you" to me because it was my birthday. You may ask what's the big deal as it's natural for a 4 year old kid to do so. But that's just it. It is not natural for Nadiah to do so. You see, Nadiah is mildly autistic. That means that she doesn't talk. Note that I said "mildly". She's autistic when it comes to social behaviour. I'll write more about this later on. Anyway, after all the exercises and therapies that we've done with Nadiah, she is now able to express herself to the point where we can understand her. She has made me the happiest of mothers when she's able to enjoy a birthday, which would be just a normal thing to do for most people. Here's a video of her singing.
