Crafty Nadiah

While I'm  busy scrapping in my tiny scrapping space, Nadiah would come and menyibuk nak scrap as well. She would be sitting on her little table and work on her "spider". That's when she would take a piece of A4 paper and fold it down the middle. Then trace the palm of her left hand and cut out the picture. Then cut out her "thumb" and unfold. Voila!! You'll have an eight legged spide look-a-like. Cut out 2 small circle shapes for eyes, a triangle for the nose and a smile.

I've got a picture of the finished spider somewhere. I stopped taking pictures as she makes the spider 3-4 times a day since she learned it about a year ago. Sometimes the trash can is full of finished and semi-finished spiders.

A few days ago, Shukri bought Nadiah a box of 24 tubs of poster color. It's the one thing that I always try to avoid buying for her. I usually get her those that come in tubes. The thing with Nadiah is, she would always try to use up the whole box in one sitting. So the safest choice would be tubes. But Baba being Baba... just could not resist being twisted around Nadiah's little finger, and so bought her the big set.

When we got home, he was worried that she would use up the whole 24 tubs. So he went out again and bougt a kilo of flour to make his very own finger paints. He tried 3 colours: red, yellow and green. Nadiah loved it. She loved the icky, squishy feel of the goo. Not only did she paint with her hands, she also made footprints everywhere in the room (thank God I had the sense to remove all the carpets in the room or it would be hell to wash!!).
